Do you know that After the Second World War, members of the UN critical of a partition of Palestine and the admission of Israel as a member, were pressured by the American administration to change their vote to support it? As a paperback, this could once be bought from bookstalls in New York for example, until pro-Israel pressures banned it.

How many Germans know that when, on 15 September 1935 the Reichstag adopted The Nuremberg Law on Citizenship that prohibited marriages and sexual relations between Jews and Germans, the Law had strong Jewish support? Vol, 1 p. 235.

That the German Foreign Ministry on 25 January 1939 issued a document stating: "The end policy in regard to the Jews is the emigration of all Jews living in the territory of the Old Reich." SS official Reinhard Heydrich organized a Central Office for Jewish Emigration on 11 February 1939.

In an interview with the magazine Paris Match, Nahum Goldmann, co-founder and president of the World Jewish Congress, said: “Since the second world war, Jews have been treated with silk gloves. Without Auschwitz, there would be no Israel.”

Nahum Goldmann’s understanding of German philosophy seemed to influence him in writing The Jewish Paradox in 1978. It holds extraordinary insight and analyses such as: “the fact is that Jews are the revolutionaries for other peoples but not for themselves (p.16).” “It is hard to find a compromise with Jewish diplomats quite simply because they do not even perceive the other party’s wants. So they have to overcome this egocentricity.” But perhaps he was wrong on “One last point…the Israelis over estimate the importance of propaganda and ‘public relations’...”(p. 63).

World historian and British Foreign Office diplomat Arnold Toynbee wrote that if many Americans read The Palestine Diary - American Middle East policy would have to change.

The Middle East correspondent of the Christian Science Monitor wrote that it should be in libraries and universities throughout the world. These expert appraisals are without parallel.

Yet no publisher could be found in Britain.

The New World Press in New York was the publisher. The Palestine Diary soon went into three printings and two editions. Then the staff were assaulted, the office destroyed by professional arsonists, the company put out of business. In January 2006 British National Archives released these Cabinet notes:
2 July 1943. the Cabinet discussed the situation in Palestine. The Cabinet agreed that action was needed to damp down the existing agitation, which was being brought on by extremist statements. There was concern that the situation might lead to future military commitments. The Cabinet agreed a draft declaration by the UK and US governments, which said that no decision on Palestine should be reached without full consultation between both Arabs and Jews.
