TOKYO
- from plane to bus - to bicycle with Patrick H McNally
through downtown Tokyo - past friendly parking officers directing traffic
- past a vegetable field in the middle of town - into the Showa Park - not Shoah!
- families having fun - and girls singing and swinging
- eating-
- then reflecting - and watching TV on this day -
- no comment -
ready for sleeping - preparing for travel
pizza, yes smoke, no - Hope, Parliament, and the usual brands...
- time to go home - on time in clean comfort
- more travel, mistake! - don't get on a peak-hour train that's reserved for women only -
- recovery from shock - cafe for smokers-nonsmokers divided by an invisible wall - choke, choke...
- let's seek out Tokyo's only mosque, funded by Turkish government, completed in 2000 -
- those in the know know what this means... ...time to move on ....
- final supper - final destination before take-off
- a long journey because the US still controls Japan's air space - get the message?
