Laith Shubeilat, President of the Association against Zionism and Racism Arrested at Dawn Today.

Jordanian
security troops arrested Laith Shubeilat, the president of the Association
against Zionism and Racism and the renowned Jordanian opposition figure,
from his hometown At Tafilah in southern Jordan, at dawn today.
Laith
Shubeilat, who is an engineer by profession, was told that he was to meet
the Governer of Amman when he left At Tafilah in his car accompanied by
heavy security escorts. Right
before he reached Amman, he was pulled over, then transferred to a
security car which sped him away to the central police station in al
Abdali in downtown Amman.
