I am not sure how many of you have your children in
public schools. If so, I wonder if your schools are
anything like the ones in California.

Divided into school districts, California public
schools produce their own newspaper, mailed free to
every household within the district.

I live within the Grant School District and their
paper is called "Grant Today." It's printed in four
different languages: Hmong, Vietnamese, Russian and
Spanish. Currently, Grant School District forces all
of its students to participate in African Day. All
schools are decorated appropriately and receive
education on Africa and its culture. Kids are given
fliers to take to their parents, encouraging them to
visit Ghana, Nigeria and Kenia. Of course, what the
kids are not taught is, unless you bring heavy
security, you might end up dead or infected with AIDS,
or on the menu plan of some tribes.

The Grant School District also celebrates Black
History Month. That month, education is geared towards
celebrating black heroes and civil rights leaders.
Posters of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King can be
found in most classrooms.

However, the students of the Grant School District
received a break from Black History Month when
celebrating Hmong New Year. From Chicken Fry and
Melons to "Hot Dogs" and Noodles.

The district also participates in the World Youth
Media Workshop. Grassroots documentaries are produced
by the students of the district and judged. Every
year, the winner will be sent to World Youth Workshop.
This year, the workshop takes place in Muenchen,
Germany. The director Nick Kalbach chose Zenneah
Benson, a black student, to represent young America at
the workshop in Muenchen. The grassroots documentary
shown there is called "Diversity in Sacramento." The
message of multi-culturism around the world.

My inquiries also revealed that none of the 25 schools
in the district allow a European-American club.
However, the district has translation services for its
students, who don't speak English. Spanish, Hmong,
Vietnamese and Russian.

The district has renamed the Easter Holiday to Spring
Break, Christmas to Winter Break.

The most important holidays celebrated by the district
are not Presidents Day, 4th of July, St. Patricks Day
or Columbus Day. They are Kwanzaa, Martin Luther King
Day, Hmong New Years, Cinco de Mayo, Mexican
Independence Day, and South East Asian Day.

A big part of the Grant School District curriculum is
Holocaust education. Since AB2003, holocaust education
is the law for public schools in California. When
asked how much time the students have to spend on
holocaust education, the vice principal says a big
chunk of it. Holocaust survivors are brought in to
tell their stories, films are shown, and the teachers
have all had a seminar at the Holocaust Museum,
trained to teach the holocaust. Most teaching tools
about the holocaust are provided by the ADL. Students
spend more time on holocaust education than on any
other subject.

The obvious question comes to mind: Where are the
parents? Why are they not complaining? The vice
principal tells me that there are several schools
which have a high concentration of minorities,
however, the overall population of the school district
is still white.

So, no wonder that so many of the white kids identify
rather with the popular cultures of the blacks and
Latinos. At least, they don't have to endure the evil
reputation of the white man.

So, tell me, is it the same in your school district?

Hitler-the Greatest Spenglerian

COULD THERE BE MORE to the Hitler period of European
history than we have so far been given to understand
by the media, the intellectuals and pundits who are
well-paid to do our thinking for us?

That Adolf Hitler represented or even may still
represent some sort of phenomenon is certain; his
bitterest enemies will admit as much. To them he is
evil incarnate: he murdered six million defenseless
Jews in cold blood, started a horrible war, was a
frightful tyrant who delighted in the most bloody
atrocities without end.

The question is, what is the truth about Hitler? What
sort of real meaning can we find in the story of that
extraordinary period which exercises such a decided
fascination over us all that any book with a swastika
on the cover is almost guaranteed to be a best-seller?

In fact, it is reported that through the year 1975,
50,000 serious books have been published on Hitler and
the National Socialist years in Europe! Like it or
not, this makes Hitler the most popular (we didn't say
liked) subject in the western world, with a single
exception-Jesus Christ! Even the ADL Bulletin itself
recently compared the popularity of Hitler to Christ.

Yet each day Adolf Hitler is killed anew by the media.
His name is so consistently pilloried that nothing is
too vile to associate with it. Without exception, all
of the motion pictures about him have been negative -
often the facts given contradict facts in other movies
just to portray him in the worst possible light.
Likewise, all of the publicity about him on television
has been negative and all but a tiny fraction of the
books and magazine articles are the same. Mention his
name in any company-Christians, publishers,
politicians or pornographers and the reaction is sure
to be the same - negative.

And yet, in spite of this concentrated venom, for
forty years the fascination his name and figure exerts
has not diminished a fraction. Indeed, his image grows
from year to year, as if propelled by an invisible
force greater than the forces against him.
Unconditionally defeated in war at the cost of
millions of lives and uncounted treasure, why can't
his ghost lie down and obediently expire?

The Hitler phenomenon is all the stranger because, of
the four prominent leaders of the time-Stalin,
Churchill, Roosevelt and Hitler - practically nothing
is being written about any of them but Hitler. Is it
that the ideals professed by the other three are now
almost universally recognized as false, hypocritical
and deceptive? Is it that somewhere in the Hitler
factor we may discern a deep meaning that directly and
profoundly relates to our condition today? In other
words, was Hitler right?

There are those who believe so, and they are no longer
mute. As more history is being written and read we can
see the lies exposed which we formerly believed were
true. Of course. Hitler did not kill six million Jews
or any number of them worth separating from the 30
million non-Jews who were killed in the massive
tragedy of the Fratricidal War of 1939 - 45. This is a
despicable myth, constructed by the Jews to justify
and rationalize their aggression in Europe, America
and the Mideast. Neither did Hitler start the war. No
historian today with any respect due him from
humankind will say the contrary. In actual fact.
Hitler worked unceasingly to prevent the war with the
West. It was literally the last thing he wanted, and
he could not bring himself to believe that the leaders
of England and America would be so shortsighted, venal
and cruel as to deliberately ally themselves with
communist Russia to destroy Europe.

Indeed, it appears as if Hitler's policy was far
beyond the ken of his contemporaries, as it foresaw
not merely a new Germany or even a new Europe but a
rejuvenation of the West!

Oswald Spengler, the prophetic German philosopher and
historian, has been revitalized among nationalist
intellectuals by Francis Parker Yockey, the author of
Imperium. Yockey's work is virtually a sequel of
Spengler's, The Decline of the West. Drawing on the
history of every culture which has gone before,
Spengler propounded a new philosophy of the cyclical
nature of culture. He defined the difference between
culture and civilization, which he saw as the final
phase of culture. In the declining years of a culture
certain phenomena appear regardless of whether this be
Egypt, Greece or Europe. Decadence, deterioration and,
finally, the death of the culture is certain. Spengler
formulated a timetable, tying up all the social
factors with political expressions, such as monarchy,
democracy, imperialism, etc.

No one has ever successfully refuted Spengler; indeed,
how can anyone do so-his analysis is too close, too
agonizingly precise to admit of any but the most
superficial - the most liberal - and worthless
criticisms. It is self-evident that Spengler's
diagnosis of our condition was - is - correct.

All of this was well-understood in Germany in the
'30s, particularly by the National Socialists, and a
great debate raged among the German intellectuals.
They wished to deny Spengler because they would not
admit that the West was doomed; yet this denial was
difficult. Nevertheless, the official position of the
National Socialists was that Spengler was
"pessimistic" and he was downgraded. Obviously, to
admit that he was right would undermine the bouyant
and joyous spirit of the national reformation then
being led by the Hitler forces. For political reasons
alone - and not because they really considered him
wrong-the Nazis were forced to repudiate Oswald
Spengler.

Now we can see that period in retrospect with the
benefit of a vast panopoly of facts not available
before and we can answer the central question
concerning the policy of Hitler. It is clear that
Hitler considered himself the greatest Spenglerian of
all, and that he had set before himself the task of
not merely saving Germany and Europe from Bolshevism;
not merely making his system dominant in Europe and
not merely reconstructing Germany architecturally but
of actually reversing the trend of history as Spengler
understood it and renewing the life-cycle of the West.

In short, the evidence accumulates that Adolf Hitler
had embarked upon the greatest task of any man in
history - the actual rebuilding of a culture; the
creation of a new culture on the ruins of the old -
the creation of a Western culture and man suited to
survive in and master the new world he knew had
arrived of high technical achievement, infinite space,
time and microcosm.

The record of those 50,000 books on Hitler plainly
shows that he was infinitely more than the run - of -
the - mill politician. He was, first and foremost, a
philosopher. But being a man of action he knew that
thoughts and words are useless without the ability to
act. He was acting - in a way few people could even
understand - until he was cut down and destroyed by
those who should have been his allies.

The greatest tragedy of history, surely. Tragic not
only for that misunderstood man who tried to save us
from our own stupidity but mostly for us, as we
experience what gives every evidence of being the
final days of the West. Will a new leader arise in
time to save us?

I was inundated with e-mails this weekend, over 400.
Several about David Irving's book "Hitler's War." I've
checked again, and the book is solely written by David
Irving, the quote I am talking about is on the back
cover of the book and doesn't say whom it is from, so
I have to assume, since it is written by Irving, that
the quote is also from him. Even if it isn't, just
carrying a quote of that magnitude on the back cover
of his book is strange. In my view, it's identifying
or agreeing with the quote. This was not to discredit
David Irving; I believe many people change their mind
over the years. As new information comes in, new views
are being formed. Or, as former German Leader Konrad
Adenauer once said:

"Niemand kann mir vorwerfen dass Ich ueber die Jahre
etwas klueger geworden bin."

Translation:

"No one can accuse me that I, over the years, have
become smarter."

No, I am not going to make copies and send them
around. If you want to see it, buy the book. Or come
to the conference, I'll bring the book.

The Truth Shall Make You Mad

Once upon a time in America, truth was an absolute
defense to any charge of libel or slander.  Indeed,
the whole point of trials and open-court litigation
was pursuit of the truth.  No more.  Trust me - I'm a
lawyer (said with a straight face, too).

Throughout my career as a trial lawyer, always I have
given the following advice to my clients, be they
plaintiffs or defendants:  "Just tell the truth.  Then
you never have to worry about what to say or what you
already might have said."  Whenever a client then has
lied during the course of a case and refused to let me
tell the other side and do my best to compensate for
that lie, that client has had to find a new lawyer on
the spot.  Admittedly, mine is a minority opinion in a
profession that richly deserves all that is said about
it. 

Nowadays, though I still insist upon the truth (call
it a weakness), I tell my clients that likely it is
irrelevant what they say.  Of course, most of my
clients these days are politically incorrect.  As I
have pointed out at length elsewhere (see "Injustice
for All," for example), there simply is no justice to
be obtained for the politically incorrect in America
these days.

Increasingly, litigation simply is window dressing,
especially criminal litigation.  Particularly when it
involves politically-incorrect defendants.  Many
procedural and substantive reasons exist for the loss
of truth and justice, such as media vilification and
prosecutorial misconduct (beginning with gross
overcharging), but they serve merely to mask the true
objective:  silencing dissenters through the exercise
of power simply because that power is available.

Used to be, we considered the role of truth merely
when a legal case already existed.  Today, simply
telling the truth can get you put in an American jail.
 And it is about to get worse.  Much worse.

America has crossed the line into the prosecution of
pure thought crimes and there will be no turning back
without a revolution.  Yes, it is because of the Jews.
 Hear me out, please.  You need to understand what I
am about to tell you.  You needn't agree just yet, but
you really need to understand the rationale.

Many ask why I so condemn the Jews.  In truth, it is a
minority of Jews to whom I really object:  the Jewish
supremacists. 

If you feel negatively about White supremacism, then
merely imagine that same concept, but from the point
of view of the oppressed in Palestine; that's Jewish
supremacism, also known as Zionism these days.
Through silence, the rest of the Jews let the Zionists
get away with their brand of supremacism; they allow
the transgressors to fall back into their ranks and
hide behind the hurled epithet of "antiSemite." 

Those who stand silently and wait also serve, as they
say, so the Jewish bystanders properly are charged
with the crimes of their supremacist brethren.  That
is why I rail against Jews, not just Zionists.

Jews really do run most of the world.  Certainly, all
the Western world.  If you do not agree with this,
then you need to do some basic spadework, work that is
beyond the scope of this piece you are reading.  It is
so obvious, once you are willing to see it. 

All the power positions in government, both here and
abroad, are occupied by Jews, generally with only the
head of state not being a Jew. 

The media, virtually every last little scrap of it, is
owned and managed by Jews. 

Most of business is owned and/or controlled by Jews.
The recent transfer of ownership of the Russian oil
empire known as Yukos to the Rothschild family,
because the owner was indicted for corruption and
fraud, illustrates how true Jewish business ownership
exists in many cases without being at all apparent. 

The central banks, especially the US Federal Reserve
Bank (which is neither Federal nor has any reserves)
are owned and operated by Jews.  Again, Rothschild is
a major player, even in ownership of the US Federal
Reserve Bank.

The legal and medical professions have been taken
over. 

These, and more, are facts.  Cold, hard, unassailable
facts.  But they are facts that are unprintable,
because they involve Jews.

Yet, when Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir recently
said the world is run by Jews by proxy (that is,
through their goyim puppets),  he was roundly
condemned.  And what he said was called a lie by
Israel, where a furor erupted.  You may recall that
Israeli Prime Minister Sharon has said, "We, the
Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know
it."   (Tar Baby II)  Why do you suppose was it
necessary for the American President, of all people,
to denounce Mahathir?  If not acting at Jewish
direction, why would Bush II even care?  Mahathir told
the truth, after all.  Problem is, the truth involved
Jews.

America outlaws boycotting the products of only one
country in the world:  Israel.  And that law is
enforced, as Cook Composites and Polymers Company
recently found out.  Cook was fined $6,000 merely for
responding "to a request from a customer in
Bahrain...stating that the goods being shipped were
not of Israeli origin and did not contain Israeli
materials."  (North Kansas City company settles charge
related to boycott of Israel, Kansas City Star, June
25, 2003)  Again, merely telling the truth runs afoul
of the law, when the truth involves Jews.  And, as
this boycott law blatantly shows, it is the truth
about only a single ethnic group that counts:  Jews.

Enter Historical Revisionism, the quest to set the
record straight.  During war, governments issue some
of the most ridiculous statements and push them as
fact, in order to get their citizens on board with
their current war effort.  The American claim during
Baghdad I that Iraqi soldiers stole a Kuwait
hospital's incubators, leaving babies to die on the
cold tile floors, is a particularly egregious recent
example.  It could have been a scene from "Wag the
Dog," it was so outlandishly false, as since admitted
by officials.  The idea was to get Americans behind
the effort to intercede in the Middle East.  It
worked.  Problem is, the story still occasionally
surfaces and gets passed around.

Historical Revisionists endeavor to get history
written correctly.  Currently, their main effort
concerns World War II and the propaganda pushed,
first, to get America into the war and, later, to keep
it there until its bloody end.  That propaganda has
endured and grown, in fact, turning into a major
industry, the main purpose of which is to advance
Zionist interests. 

Even though the stories about lampshades made from
human skin and soap rendered from the fat of Jewish
victims have been as thoroughly debunked as the
Kuwaiti baby incubator fable, they still occasionally
bubble to the surface.

The lies about the gas chambers and the ovens have
only partially been revealed.  Similarly, though
Jewish historians themselves admit that far fewer
perished, the myth that 6,000,000 Jews perished in
German concentration camps persists and is actively
promoted at all levels of society.

A side note:  outlandish claims of Jewish casualties
is nothing new.  They claimed 6,000,000 in WWI, too,
believe it or not.  And, as historian/journalist
Michael Hoffman has pointed out:  "There are two early
'Holocaust' tales from the Talmud.  Gittin 57b. claims
that four billion Jews were killed by the Romans in
the city of Bethar.  Gittin 58a claims that 16 million
Jewish children were wrapped in scrolls and burned
alive by the Romans."  Judaism's Strange Gods, Michael
Hoffman (Independent History, 2000)  The Bible abounds
with outlandish claims of Jewish casualties, as well.

Publicly challenging Jewish "Holocaust" claims will
lead to a prison sentence in most Western countries.
And truth is no defense.  The mere revealing of the
lies and their machinations is deemed antiSemitic, you
see.  In fact, attempting to defend oneself against
these charges in court, once one is charged in some
countries, such as Germany, will result in fresh
charges being filed.  Yes, you read that last sentence
correctly.  Repeating the offensive statements in
court is a separate offense!

The Jewish ADL (AntiDefamation League) has been
instrumental in getting hate crime laws passed in most
of America's states.  Now they endeavor to convert
those laws into pure hate speech laws, as now exist in
Canada and most of Western Europe.  Already, the
American laws are perverted to punish mere speech, but
that is not enough.  Once speech itself, with no
accompanying crime, becomes formally illegal in
America, then eradication of truth as a defense will
follow, as it has in Canada and Western Europe.  And
it will be the truth concerning a single ethnic group
that will be most disallowed, of course:  Jews.

You needn't believe just me that Jews are special when
it comes to suppressing the truth.  Listen to none
other than America's Attorney General, John Ashcroft,
as he prostrates himself before the ADL:  "Ninety
years ago, the founders of the Anti-Defamation League
dedicated themselves to the noblest ideals. They vowed
to use their time, their energy, and their earnings to
stand against intolerance and to stand for
freedom...This administration believes that acts of
anti-Semitism must be confronted, condemned, and
denounced...As history shows, verbal attacks on the
Jewish people are portends (sic) of more savage
criminality to come...The ADL has proven time and
again its ability to warn of the dangers to the
innocent when the good and truehearted do not band

And Ashcroft's is not a lone voice in the
Administration, either.  FBI Director Mueller pandered
to the ADL at its 24th Annual National Leadership
Conference in May of 2002:  "I have long admired and
respected the work of ADL, and I appreciate your
longstanding support of the FBI.  I know that under my
predecessor, Louis Freeh, this partnership reached new
heights...I am absolutely committed to building on
that relationship."

This is the same ADL, by the way, that has been
adjudged guilty of massive theft and illegality in
assembling a computerized database of Americans it
dislikes.  And this is the same FBI that busted the
ADL in 1993, a bust which led to the judicial ruling
that the ADL violated a number of state and Federal
laws when it stole data from a variety of government
offices, including the FBI itself.

They steal from the government, yet that same
government then turns around and praises the ADL and
the partnership it has with one of the very agencies
from which it stole!  Meanwhile, it is just business
as usual for the ADL and the Jewish interests it
advances.

It should not go unnoticed, either, that the guy who
was responsible for the ridiculous prosecutions of so
many white American dissidents lately, Michael
Chertoff, is a Zionist who, as Director of the US
Justice Department's Criminal Division, directed the
efforts of the FBI for Ashcroft.

Clearly, the Jews are getting their way in America, as
they have in Canada and Western Europe; just as they
did in Russia early last century.  Today, of all
Western Countries, only in America can I get away with
writing this article.  However, even in America I get
roundly condemned and widely censored...for telling
the truth...about Jews.

Bush II has proven himself to be nothing but a water
carrier for Zionism.  With the eight original Democrat
Presidential candidates each being either Jewish or
married to a Jew, it is clear that there will be no
change in the upcoming election.  Some choice, huh?
Things will only get worse.  Making Bush a one-termer
(inevitable now, I believe) merely will provide the
illusion of "throwing the rascals out."

Tomorrow I will be unable to bring these truths to
you.  Tomorrow I will be imprisoned, or worse, for
even trying to do so.  So will you.  Already, tomorrow
has come to Canada and Western Europe. 

Consider what the day after tomorrow might bring.

Are you getting mad yet?  I am, and I'm not alone.

It is time.  Time for a change.

Communist East Germany kept Rosemarie Albrecht's Nazi
past a closely-guarded secret for40 years. Its regime
showered the physician with awards and gave her the
title "People's Doctor of Outstanding Merit". It never
revealed her alleged role in Hitler's infamous
"euthanasia" murders of the mentally handicapped.

Professor Albrecht is now 88, and livingon a state
pension at her home outside the East German town of
Gera. Later this year she is to appear in court
charged with helping to kill more than 150 mentally
handicapped women and children at a Nazi hospital
during the Second World War.

Her case is expected to result in one of the last
major Nazi "euthanasia" trials in post-war Germany. It
has only come to light because of evidence unearthed
in East German Stasi secret police files, which showed
that her activities during the Nazi era were covered
up by the communist regime.

Last week, state prosecutors in Gera formally charged
Professor Albrecht with the murder of one 34-year-old
mentally handicapped woman at Germany's Stadtroda
Hospital in 1941 and with complicity in the killing of
a further 158 female patients in her care between 1940
and 1942. Many were girls.

The deaths were among an estimated 900 "euthanasia"
killings at the hospital in accordance with Nazi
doctrine, which stipulated the mentally handicapped
were a "useless burden" on the German people.

The charges are the result of a four-year
investigation by Gera state prosecutors. "The evidence
against Professor Albrecht is contained in a
meticulously-kept hospital archive, which shows one of
her women patients was given a massive dose of
sleeping tablets that resulted in her death," said
Raimund Sauter, the prosecutor leading the
investigation. "Without the evidence unwittingly
provided by the Stasi, it is doubtful we would have
been alerted to her case."

Many other mentally handicapped women and children
were allegedly given huge doses of barbiturates which
weakened their lungs and eventually led to their dying
from pulmonary infections. "To the outside it looked
like natural death," said Dr Goetz Aly, a German
historian who has been pursuing the Albrecht case.

Professor Albrecht has repeatedly denied the
allegations against her. She is on record as having
told journalists: "Amuse yourselves, you'll get
nothing from me." She has described her time at the
Stadtroda in glowing terms. "Those were wonderful
years. I could work , work and work," she said in a
German medical journal.

Stasi files unearthed during the investigation showthe
communist regime decided to conceal her Nazi past to
ward off international condemnation. The files, dating
back to 1964, were codenamed Ausmerzer (the
wiper-out). But by that time the professor had already
won the approval of the communist regime. She was
honoured for successfully treating the former East
German leader Walter Ulbricht and went on to become a
deacon at Jena University.

Her Stasi file reveals that secret police were
reluctant to investigate her from the outset. "As the
accused holds a high position, an investigation could
produce a result that would contradict the conditions
of our society," a senior Stasi officer said in her
dossier. The Stasi subsequently called off plans to
investigate her, claiming that there was "insufficient
evidence" to bring charges.

"We are all shocked by these revelations," said
Andreas Blei, head of the German government's Stasi
investigation unit in Gera. "Most East Germans thought
that they were morally superior to capitalist West
Germany because they believed in the official line
which held the communist state had rooted out Nazism."

Re the Krupp-Kelso exchange: I don't believe that ANY
preemptive strike is unjustified. It is possible that
it might be and many think the German attack on Russia
was an example. But as the Vatican said in its
analysis of traditional "just war" principles in the
run-up to the attack the evidence to justify such an
action must be exceedingly clear. That's the point.
Not only was it not exceedingly clear, it now appears
that the reasons given were actually false. No weapons
of mass destruction, no plans to attack the US, no
connection to 9/11 or Al Queda - all loudly proclaimed
as reasons for the attack. All false. Now THAT'S a war
crime.

Portuguese Prime Minister Jose Manuel Durao Barroso
said, "When Clinton was here recently he told me he
was absolutely convinced, given his years in the White
House and the access to privileged information which
he had, that Iraq possessed weapons of mass
destruction until the end of the Saddam regime," the
prime minister said in an interview with Portuguese
cable news channel SIC Noticias.

Abdul Rahman Yasin was the only member of the al Qaeda
cell that detonated the 1993 World Trade Center bomb
to remain at large in the Clinton years. He fled to
Iraq. U.S. forces recently discovered a cache of
documents in Tikrit, Saddam's hometown, that show that
Iraq gave Mr. Yasin both a house and monthly salary.

Bin Laden met at least eight times with officers of
Iraq's Special Security Organization, a secret police
agency run by Saddam's son Qusay, and met with
officials from Saddam's mukhabarat, its external
intelligence service, according to intelligence made
public by Secretary of State Colin Powell, who was
speaking before the United Nations Security Council on
February 6, 2003.

Sudanese intelligence officials told me that their
agents had observed meetings between Iraqi
intelligence agents and bin Laden starting in 1994,
when bin Laden lived in Khartoum.

Bin Laden met the director of the Iraqi mukhabarat in
1996 in Khartoum, according to Mr. Powell.

An al Qaeda operative now held by the U.S. confessed
that in the mid-1990s, bin Laden had forged an
agreement with Saddam's men to cease all terrorist
activities against the Iraqi dictator, Mr. Powell told
the United Nations.

In 1999 the Guardian, a British newspaper, reported
that Farouk Hijazi, a senior officer in Iraq's
mukhabarat, had journeyed deep into the icy mountains
near Kandahar, Afghanistan, in December 1998 to meet
with al Qaeda men. Mr. Hijazi is "thought to have
offered bin Laden asylum in Iraq," the Guardian
reported.

In October 2000, another Iraqi intelligence operative,
Salah Suleiman, was arrested near the Afghan border by
Pakistani authorities, according to Jane's Foreign
Report, a respected international newsletter. Jane's
reported that Suleiman was shuttling between Iraqi
intelligence and Ayman al Zawahiri, now al Qaeda's No.
2 man.

(Why are all of those meetings significant? The London
Observer reports that FBI investigators cite a
captured al Qaeda field manual in Afghanistan, which
"emphasizes the value of conducting discussions about
pending terrorist attacks face to face, rather than by
electronic means.")

As recently as 2001, Iraq's embassy in Pakistan was
used as a "liaison" between the Iraqi dictator and al
Qaeda, Mr. Powell told the United Nations.

Spanish investigators have uncovered documents seized
from Yusuf Galan -- who is charged by a Spanish court
with being "directly involved with the preparation and
planning" of the Sept. 11 attacks -- that show the
terrorist was invited to a party at the Iraqi embassy
in Madrid. The invitation used his "al Qaeda nom de
guerre," London's Independent reports.

An Iraqi defector to Turkey, known by his cover name
as "Abu Mohammed," told Gwynne Roberts of the Sunday
Times of London that he saw bin Laden's fighters in
camps in Iraq in 1997. At the time, Mohammed was a
colonel in Saddam's Fedayeen. He described an
encounter at Salman Pak, the training facility
southeast of Baghdad. At that vast compound run by
Iraqi intelligence, Muslim militants trained to hijack
planes with knives -- on a full-size Boeing 707. Col.
Mohammed recalls his first visit to Salman Pak this
way: "We were met by Colonel Jamil Kamil, the camp
manager, and Major Ali Hawas. I noticed that a lot of
people were queuing for food. (The major) said to me:
'You'll have nothing to do with these people. They are
Osama bin Laden's group and the PKK and Mojahedin-e
Khalq.'"

In 1998, Abbas al-Janabi, a longtime aide to Saddam's
son Uday, defected to the West. At the time, he
repeatedly told reporters that there was a direct
connection between Iraq and al Qaeda.

The Sunday Times found a Saddam loyalist in a Kurdish
prison who claims to have been Dr. Zawahiri's
bodyguard during his 1992 visit with Saddam in
Baghdad. Dr. Zawahiri was a close associate of bin
Laden at the time and was present at the founding of
al Qaeda in 1989.

Following the defeat of the Taliban, almost two dozen
bin Laden associates "converged on Baghdad and
established a base of operations there," Mr. Powell
told the United Nations in February 2003. From their
Baghdad base, the secretary said, they supervised the
movement of men, materiel and money for al Qaeda's
global network.

In 2001, an al Qaeda member "bragged that the
situation in Iraq was 'good,'" according to
intelligence made public by Mr. Powell.

That same year, Saudi Arabian border guards arrested
two al Qaeda members entering the kingdom from Iraq.

Abu Musaab al-Zarqawi oversaw an al Qaeda training
camp in Afghanistan, Mr. Powell told the United
Nations. His specialty was poisons. Wounded in
fighting with U.S. forces, he sought medical treatment
in Baghdad in May 2002. When Zarqawi recovered, he
restarted a training camp in northern Iraq. Zarqawi's
Iraq cell was later tied to the October 2002 murder of
Lawrence Foley, an official of the U.S. Agency for
International Development, in Amman, Jordan. The
captured assassin confessed that he received orders
and funds from Zarqawi's cell in Iraq, Mr. Powell
said. His accomplice escaped to Iraq.

Zarqawi met with military chief of al Qaeda, Mohammed
Ibrahim Makwai (aka Saif al-Adel) in Iran in February
2003, according to intelligence sources cited by the
Washington Post.

Mohammad Atef, the head of al Qaeda's military wing
until the U.S. killed him in Afghanistan in November
2001, told a senior al Qaeda member now in U.S.
custody that the terror network needed labs outside of
Afghanistan to manufacture chemical weapons, Mr.
Powell said. "Where did they go, where did they look?"
said the secretary. "They went to Iraq."

Abu Abdullah al-Iraqi was sent to Iraq by bin Laden to
purchase poison gases several times between 1997 and
2000. He called his relationship with Saddam's regime
"successful," Mr. Powell told the United Nations.

Mohamed Mansour Shahab, a smuggler hired by Iraq to
transport weapons to bin Laden in Afghanistan, was
arrested by anti-Hussein Kurdish forces in May, 2000.
He later told his story to American intelligence and a
reporter for the New Yorker magazine.

Documents found among the debris of the Iraqi
Intelligence Center show that Baghdad funded the
Allied Democratic Forces, a Ugandan terror group led
by an Islamist cleric linked to bin Laden. According
to a London's Daily Telegraph, the organization
offered to recruit "youth to train for the jihad" at a
"headquarters for international holy warrior network"
to be established in Baghdad.

Mullah Melan Krekar, ran a terror group (the Ansar
al-Islam) linked to both bin Laden and Saddam Hussein.
Mr. Krekar admitted to a Kurdish newspaper that he met
bin Laden in Afghanistan and other senior al Qaeda
officials. His acknowledged meetings with bin Laden go
back to 1988. When he organized Ansar al Islam in 2001
to conduct suicide attacks on Americans, "three bin
Laden operatives showed up with a gift of $300,000 'to
undertake jihad,'" Newsday reported. Mr. Krekar is now
in custody in the Netherlands. His group operated in
portion of northern Iraq loyal to Saddam Hussein --
and attacked independent Kurdish groups hostile to
Saddam. A spokesman for the Patriotic Union of
Kurdistan told a United Press International
correspondent that Mr. Krekar's group was funded by
"Saddam Hussein's regime in Baghdad."

After October 2001, hundreds of al Qaeda fighters are
believed to have holed up in the Ansar al-Islam's
strongholds inside northern Iraq.

The most compelling reason for bin Laden to work with
Saddam is money. Al Qaeda operatives have testified in
federal courts that the terror network was always
desperate for cash. Senior employees fought bitterly
about the $100 difference in pay between Egyptian and
Saudis (the Egyptians made more). One al Qaeda member,
who was connected to the 1998 embassy bombings, told a
U.S. federal court how bitter he was that bin Laden
could not pay for his pregnant wife to see a doctor.

Bin Laden's personal wealth alone simply is not enough
to support a profligate global organization. Besides,
bin Laden's fortune is probably not as large as some
imagine. Informed estimates put bin Laden's pre-Sept.
11, 2001 wealth at perhaps $30 million. $30 million is
the budget of a small school district, not a global
terror conglomerate. Meanwhile, Forbes estimated
Saddam's personal fortune at $2 billion.

So a common enemy, a shared goal and powerful need for
cash seem to have forged an alliance between Saddam
and bin Laden. CIA Director George Tenet recently told
the Senate Intelligence Committee: "Iraq has in the
past provided training in document forgery and bomb
making to al Qaeda. It also provided training in
poisons and gasses to two al Qaeda associates; one of
these [al Qaeda] associates characterized the
relationship as successful. Mr. Chairman, this
information is based on a solid foundation of
intelligence. It comes to us from credible and
reliable sources. Much of it is corroborated by
multiple sources."

The Iraqis, who had the Third World's largest
poison-gas operations prior to the Gulf War I, have
perfected the technique of making hydrogen-cyanide
gas, which the Nazis called Zyklon-B. In the hands of
al Qaeda, this would be a fearsome weapon in an
enclosed space -- like a suburban mall or subway
station.

March 11, 2003: "These al Qaeda affiliates, based in
Baghdad, now coordinate the movement of people, money
and supplies into and throughout Iraq for his network,
and they've been operating freely in the capital for
more than eight months," said U.S. Secretary of State
Colin Powell in his presentation last month to the
U.N. Security Council. ."

".During testimony before the Senate Intelligence
Committee in mid-February, CIA Director George Tenet
added, "Iraq has, in the past, provided training in
document forgery and bomb-making to al Qaeda. It has
also provided training in poisons and gases to two al
Qaeda associates."

"ARE AL QAEDA'S links to Saddam Hussein's Iraq just a
fantasy of the Bush administration? Hardly. The
Clinton administration also warned the American public
about those ties and defended its response to al Qaeda
terror by citing an Iraqi connection."

"Wouldn't the bombing of a plant with well-documented
connections to Iraq's chemical weapons program,
undertaken in an effort to strike back at Osama bin
Laden's terrorist network, seem to suggest the Clinton
administration national security officials believed
Iraq was working with al Qaeda?"

".So, when the Clinton administration wants to justify
its strike on al Shifa," this official tells me, "it's
okay to use an Iraq-al Qaeda connection. But now that
the Bush administration and George Tenet talk about
links, it's suddenly not believable?"

"Bush administration officials largely agree with
their predecessors. "There's pretty good intelligence
linking al Shifa to Iraq and also good information
linking al Shifa to al Qaeda,"

Evan Bayh, a Democrat from Indiana who sits on the
Intelligence Committee, told THE WEEKLY STANDARD, "the
relationship seemed to have its roots in mutual
exploitation. Saddam Hussein used terrorism for his
own ends, and Osama bin Laden used a nation-state for
the things that only a nation-state can provide."

Joe Lieberman, the Connecticut Democrat and
presidential candidate, discussed the connections in
an appearance last week on MSNBC's "Hardball with
Chris Matthews." Said Lieberman: "I want to be real
clear about the connection with terrorists. I've seen
a lot of evidence on this. There are extensive
contacts between Saddam Hussein's government and al
Qaeda and other terrorist groups. I never could reach
the conclusion that [Saddam] was part of September 11.
. But there was so much smoke there that it made me
worry. And you know, some people say with a great
facility, al Qaeda and Saddam could never get
together. He is secular and they're theological. But
there's something that tied them together. It's their
hatred of us."

Note to Doyle: Why don't we change the subject to,
say, abortion.
