The EACC is a staunch supporter of freedom of speech and historical inquiry. It firmly rejects violence and intimidation. Scholars and activists will be arriving from across the US and from countries overseas to present lectures on the past and present from a revisionist perspective, including about the "Holocaust" and its relationship to current issues, particularly the Middle East conflict, and to renew our call for freedom of thought and historical inquiry. Federal officials later identified three Zionist terrorists as the perpetrators of this murderous attack. -- In mid-February 1989, JDL activists carried out a campaign of threats and intimidation that forced the Red Lion hotel in Costa Mesa to cancel its contract with the Institute for Historical Review to hold a conference there. (In spite of the disruption, the Ninth IHR Conference was successfully held at a hastily improvised alternate site.) We call on you, and on all relevant state and local officials, to provide every appropriate and lawful protection to insure that our conference takes place peacefully and without disruption. Purpose: This conference is the first of its kind that seeks public recognition. We are as public as we can be. Another reason is security. If the enemy attacks, it has to do so with the knowledge of the elected officials, the public and the media. For those who haven't heard, the Institute of Historical Review has signed on to the conference as a financial contributor, and we received a check from the IHR this week. It was quite generous. Mark Weber, the Director of the IHR, is also helping with media releases, open letters, and his experience in putting on conferences. We are taking Ernst Zuendel's advice. Otherwise, the IHR has nothing to do with the planning or organizing the event. I can see already the little brain cells of the IHR bashers rotating. Director Mark Weber is one of the keynote speakers of the conference. His advice and guidance are most welcome. Several rumors about the conference need to be destroyed, and I will do so now. It was said that there were too many chiefs in the planning of this historical event. I wish there were! I have to tell you that there are only three chiefs or "power brokers" as I call them: Power Broker # 1: The Adelaide Institute/Dr. Fredrick Toben. The Adelaide Institute, at great expense, has made it possible for the conference to be what it is, an International Revisionist Conference. You bet that Dr. Toben is a big part of the decision-making process. Money talks - bullshit walks! Power Broker # 2: Harvey Taylor, who is also the Master of Ceremonies at the conference. He is an excellent political activists with a hands-on approach. His experience makes him invaluable in the organizing of this conference. Mr. Taylor is also a personal friend and a financial contributor. So, yes, not much happening without his input. Power Broker # 3: And that's me. I am the motor. And I am the one with the last word. Of course, strictly in the "democratic way." So, I hope we made that very clear. Surely, we cannot forget to mention the many other hands that are helping to put together this conference. We can't mention their names, because the enemy never sleeps. I want to nip this one in the butt. It is the constant e-mails about keynote speaker Horst Mahler. Short answer: We don't care! Mr. Mahler is the attraction of the conference. In my eyes a hero and a brilliant attorney. We are honored to have him. The conference is dedicated to Ernst Zuendel and carries the motto of "Freedom of Speech" and is a "Tribute to all victims of Zionist terror." Unity is of utmost important at the conference! We must be at our best, because too many eyes are watching. That's why we made the following rules, which all of us have to adhere to: Dress appropriately (no t-shirts) We reject all calls for violence and racial slurs We won't tolerate any bashing of revisionists or revisionist organizations We treat all speakers and guests with respect No weapons, not even a pocket knife No military attire No Third Reich paraphernalia Hecklers will be remove immediately by security Troublemakers will be arrested on the spot Cell phones and pagers must be turned off Questions should be held until the end, where we provide a Q & A session with all speakers of the day We are asking guests to avoid speaking to the media, instead refer the to designated media persons. The reason is simple, the media always looks for the most decrepit looking person in the crowd or anyone that is differently dressed, showing tattoos, etc. Security will be ample. Also, this is important, please let us know if you have sent your reservation money, so we can confirm that we received it. Again, the enemy never sleeps. Pressure is mounting and we started receiving the most vile and vulgar e-mail threats. It is my belief that this should be public, not only for the record, but to show the stupidity of these people.
