Dr. Claus Nordbruch - South Africa
Dr. Claus Nordbruch was born in Germany in 1961. After
four years of military service in the West German Army
(Bundeswehr), the infantry-lieutenant immigrated to
South Africa in 1986, to study German History,
Criminology and Biology at the University of South
Africa. In 1995, he obtained his PhD from the University
of South Africa.
Dr. Nordbruch works as a free-lance journalist and
professional author. His philosophy of life is
reflected by his engagement for intellectual freedom
and historical truth. In this sense, he has published
some 200 articles in many papers and magazines in
various countries, among them Germany, South Africa,
Russia, Switzerland, and the United States of America.
Dr. Nordbruch has written more than a dozen books.
In his books dealing with freedom of speech, he gives
evidence that in the Federal Republic of Germany,
censorship is generally common. He demonstrates how
the political police, called "Verfassungs Schutz" is
used to slander political opponents, historical
dissenters and individuals who do not share official
opinions on essential historical and political
matters.
