About 400km north of Alice Springs is a grouping of Granite Boulders called the Devil's Marbles.

Eroded by the weather, the former slabs (up to 4 x 13 meters in size) are turning into the strange formations shown here.

 

Scientists predict that they will finally wither away in about another 50 million years (or so).
