Ernst Zündel advises on postal restrictions

6 August 2005 - Fredrick Töben advises:

Please be advised that Ernst Zündel's matter has been upgraded from Amtsgericht to Landgericht - equivalent of Magistrates' Court to County/District Court. This is done so as to frustrate the possible appeal process. Had the matter remained at the lower level, then in an appeal before the Landgericht matters of fact could be canvassed again in court. An appealed Landgericht decision becomes a matter of law only.

In my 1999 case my Judge Klaus Kern also restricted my mail service - and it took me a little time to get over the sulk that I developed then, as some of you who wrote me letters may well recall. It hurt suddenly to have my dozens of daily letters stopped - and replaced with an advice sheet that countless letters received have been stored in the Kammer where my other personal belongings at the time of the arrest had been stored.

Ernst will also feel the pain because all his feelings get magnified while inside, and hence it is important to retain some form of objectivity.

However, Judge Kern advised me that he simply did not have the personnel available to trot off to the post office with a dozen letters and postal coupons in hand, and stand in line to post them.

It is therefore unhelpful for anyone to protest about this imposed restriction. Ernst will have to take the blow, as I did, and continue being creative - as he is now.

Nothing is as yet known about the legal strategy adopted by Ernst Zündel, and there is an embargo on anything concerning this matter.

Betreff: Zwei Verfügungen

Liebe Mitstreiter,

Dieter Greve
