Accused of anti Semitism? Join the ever growing crowd and rest easy in the knowledge that those who label you like that are themselves morally and intellectually bankrupt. A functioning democracy demands vigorous debate, and that includes putting the spotlight on all individuals who make public pronouncements. And don't fall for the huff-and-puff of those individuals who attempt to bluff and bully you into silence by using this stupid and senseless word 'antisemitism'. Users of this word are morally and intellectually bankrupt because they use the racist concept to pervert humanity, and that cannot be good. 
From Kerry Bolton 21 August 2003 This article from the Waikato Times is interesting because shortly after, Edwards was on Paul Holmes' radio show, and both were discussing Jewish influence over the media very frankly. Both talked of the barrage of mail from Zionist interests which follows any criticism of Israel. I recall that years ago Holmes concluded one of his TV shows with a slight criticism of Israel. The next evening he was making a statement clarifiying that he and the station were not "anti-semitic." It's the only apology or retraction I've ever heard him make, and going by his recent statements, obviously still bothers him. Edwards stated that the type of ad hominem arguments of Dov Bing are typical of zionist lobbyists.
Media stifled, says Edwards 14 August 2003 Waikato Times A media commentator says fear of Jewish lobbyists is stifling journalism. Brian Edwards said the sacking of New Zealand Herald cartoonist Malcolm Evans, who says he was dumped for refusing to stop drawing cartoons critical of the Israeli Government, smacked of censorship. "It concerns me that the Jewish community are constantly complaining about their portrayal in the media . . . it has made the media very cautious. "It is the job of the cartoonist to prick the people they draw. Cartoons will offend and ought to offend. "If I want to say the Holocaust didn't happen then I should be allowed to say that." [Emphasis added] Those who disagreed then had the right to respond, he said. Herald editor in chief Gavin Ellis said it was wrong to say Mr Evans was sacked for refusing to stop drawing cartoons critical of Israel but would not comment further. Jewish academic and Waikato University political science professor Dov Bing said Mr Edwards was talking rubbish. "A journalist is entitled to report and provoke, but to incite racial hatred is illegal," he said. Prof Bing said freedom of the press was not absolute and respect of human rights prevented the press from insulting an entire community. "Jews are sensitive to anti-semitism because they have had 2000 years of oppression. We have seen that words eventually turn into action. When Hitler wrote Mein Kampf they said he was crazy. We took him very seriously." Prof Bing said Mr Edwards should be "the last to pontificate after he insulted the Jewish community on his show. He is over the hill and should retire." The Jewish community had no problem with criticism: "Just make sure it is a clear criticism of Israel, not anti-semitic."
